Modern technology is transforming agriculture. As pressure grows to meet the demands of a growing global population, Precision Agriculture, GPS, GIS, and Automation & Robotics, have all helped enhance productivity, efficiency, and sustainability, enabling farmers to make data-driven decisions. automate processes and reduce cost of labour.
Rugged solutions for tough conditions
Agriculture is one of the most diverse and demanding markets that we serve, with products required to withstand the rigours of weather and extreme temperatures, exposure to water, dust and dirt, as well as oil, fuel, and other chemicals.
Our connectors, sensors, switches, and indicators, provide up to IP68/IP69K protection, making them suitable for both open and closed cabs, while our broad range of lighting products meet stringent quality and performance standards defined by ECE regulations, ensuring their reliability and durability,
Browse our range of standard products or contact us to talk through the specific needs of your application. We offer both simple and more complex cable assemblies and harnesses, as well as entirely custom solutions based on application requirements.
1890 – 1920
The First Tractor
The first tractor was launched in 1892, replacing slower, steam-powered engines, followed by the first mass-produced tractor, the Fordson Model F, from Henry Ford in 1917.
1970 – 1990
Technology Upgrade
The late 20th century saw a huge step in farming technology, the introduction of hydraulic & electronic systems, and GPS technology, improving control, precision, and efficiency.
2010 – 2015
Semi-automation
Semi-autonomous tractors and harvesters were introduced, as were some fully-autonomous concepts, with John Deere leading the way. Diesel hybrid tractors also entered the market to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
2010 – Present
Full-automation
Fully electric tractors, and ‘driver-optional’ autonomous options emerge. Although autonomy in farming is an emerging field, the industry’s interest in reducing emissions and improving efficiency continues at a pace.

Using technology to increase yield and reduce cost
The evolution of the combine harvester has been central to farming becoming less labour-intensive and more productive.
Switches are used to activate and deactivate various functions, including lights & indicators, AC and heating, joystick control, and safety-related functions, while sensors are used to provide real-time data to to the onboard computer.
Sensors detect and measure a wide variety of environmental values, from temperature to pressure, speed, position, load, and flow or level, and alert the operator to any issues.
Connectors serve as interfaces between ECUs, sensors, and switches, to external implements. These include ISOBUS, CAN Bus, IP rated Power and Data, through to USB ports for driver comfort and connectivity, and are critical to integrating various systems.
LED lighting provides excellent energy efficiency, durability, and longer life span compared to halogen. A variety of work lights, indicator & hazard lights, and strobe lights & beacons, to name just a few, are used to improve safety and productivity during all hours and weather conditions.
